Remodel Fixture Installer
About The Position
Signature Retail Services is hiring a full-time, project-based Travel Fixture Installer for its Regional Remodel Team. The role involves weekly travel throughout an assigned region and surrounding states, typically with employees home most weekends. Installers work with a professional remodel crew on large-scale remodels, store resets, fixture installations, department rebuilds, and merchandising projects at major home improvement retailers, including Home Depot, Lowe's, and Ace Hardware. Work is performed on overnight project schedules in fast-paced retail environments. The position is physically active and requires installing, adjusting, relocating, and dismantling retail fixtures and displays; following planograms and project specifications; maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards; and completing in-store reporting on web-based handheld devices. The company provides company-paid hotels and airfare, per diem, mileage and drive-time reimbursement, and training for equipment operation. Compensation is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of active auto insurance.
- Ability to travel weekly throughout the assigned region and surrounding states.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to safely operate hand and power tools, including drills, screwdrivers, tape measures, and box cutters.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team setting or independently.
- Comfort using a smartphone for communication, scheduling, and in-store reporting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, climb ladders, and remain active throughout overnight shifts.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, and handle products, fixtures, and materials weighing up to 50+ pounds.
- Comfort working in fast-paced remodel environments with overnight project schedules.
- Successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include background checks, motor vehicle record review, and employment eligibility verification.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification or OSHA certification; not required, and training is provided.
- Experience in retail, remodel construction, carpentry, warehouse operations, fixture installation, remodel merchandising, general labor, or other hands-on trades.
Responsibilities
- Execute large-scale retail remodels and store resets.
- Install, relocate, adjust, and dismantle steel fixtures, cantilevers, shelving, pallet racking, and displays.
- Support department teardowns, rebuilds, and merchandising projects.
- Set products, signage, and displays according to planograms and project specifications.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
- Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards throughout each project.
- Work with teammates, project leaders, and store management to complete projects on schedule.
- Complete in-store reporting using web-based handheld devices.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete other job-related instructions and tasks as directed by management.
