About The Position

We're seeking an experienced W-2 Relief / Per Diem Veterinarian to provide coverage across four well-established companion animal hospitals in Central Illinois: Pine Bluff Animal Hospital, Skinner Animal Clinic, Lakewood Animal Hospital, and Dwight Veterinary Clinic. This role offers the flexibility to create a schedule that fits your lifestyle while providing the support, stability, and benefits of W-2 employment. You'll gain variety by working alongside collaborative teams at these hospitals, each with its own unique culture and loyal client base. The compensation is $1,200 per shift, plus mileage reimbursement. The schedule allows for flexibility, with options to work 3-4 days per week or approximately 12 shifts per month. Standard hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with a 30-minute paid lunch break, and Saturdays from 8am-12pm.

Requirements

• 3+ years of clinical experience
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited college
• Active Illinois veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
• Enjoy collaborating with different teams
