About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Buffalo, NY is seeking a relief Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our thriving emergency team! This position offers competitive pay, including shift differentials for nights and weekends. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for triaging patients, identifying those at risk for arrest and initiating CPR, placing IVC's and advanced catheters, monitoring ventilator cases, and working alongside other skilled technicians and assistants to provide excellent, advanced medicine. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and train fellow associates and nurse critically ill patients back to health. Responsibilities
- Triage and obtain patient history
- Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
- Place IVC's and advanced catheters like jugular catheters, central lines or PICC lines.
- Monitor and care for ventilator cases
- Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients.
- Have a passion for helping mentor and and train fellow associates.
- Nurse critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents.
- Perform other relevant roles/responsibilities.
