About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a full-time Relief Veterinary Technician to provide advanced care for pets in a fast-paced, collaborative emergency and specialty care environment. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The technician will work alongside technicians and assistants to provide quality patient care, including supporting critically ill patients and helping reunite them with their pet parents. The position also involves mentoring and training coworkers.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain patient histories.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters, including jugular catheters, central lines, or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Work with technicians and assistants to provide advanced medicine and quality patient care.
• Mentor and train coworkers.
• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients.
