About The Position

Caterlink is hiring a Relief Chef to provide cover in the Bodmin/Wadebridge area and support its existing site-based teams. The role is mobile-based and requires the successful candidate to have their own transport. It is term-time only, working 46 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, for 30 hours per week, with no weekends. The pay rate is £13.85 per hour.

The Chef prepares, cooks and presents food to Caterlink and client standards, follows food safety and health and safety procedures, and completes mandatory paperwork accurately. The role also supports day-to-day site operations, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets and implementing action plans. Caterlink is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults; an enhanced DBS disclosure will be obtained for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Follow all food safety and health and safety procedures.
• Complete mandatory paperwork accurately and with integrity.
• Help enhance Caterlink’s reputation for excellent food and service, consistently exceeding client and customer expectations.
• Support day-to-day location operations, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets and implementing action plans.
