Responsibilities

Process and fulfill medical record requests, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
Retrieve, scan, transmit, and maintain patient records while ensuring proper documentation and file organization.
Review and validate authorizations for the release of protected health information.
Prioritize and manage high-volume requests from multiple sources within established turnaround times.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients, providers, and callers with record requests and related inquiries.
Educate customers on privacy, confidentiality, and information release requirements.
Respond to internal and external customer needs using available resources and established procedures.
