About The Position

Tokio Marine North America Services (TMNAS) provides professional support services to Tokio Marine Group companies in the United States. The Release Management Analyst will be the main point of contact for all Release Management activities, responsible for orchestrating all releases, including communication to impacted companies and stakeholders. This role involves running multiple meetings from release planning to readiness reviews, ensuring development and testing efforts are complete and compliant with Release Management processes. Adherence to Change Management processes, including task completion, approvals, and representation at Change Advisory Board meetings, is also required. The Analyst will work with Project Managers to orchestrate necessary milestones for Release Management, QA, User Acceptance, and Change Management teams. Additionally, the Analyst will create and maintain Release-related metrics and communicate them to management stakeholders. The Analyst will also act as a secondary Non-Production Environment Analyst as needed, assisting in the coordination of environmental refreshes across Group Companies, coordinating with Project Managers on environmental allocations, and handling all environment-related communications, meetings, and reporting.

  • Strong time management skills to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative, and accurate)
  • Ability to translate complex release status into clear, audience-appropriate communications (engineers through executives), including concise risk/impact statements and decision points
  • Risk-based decision-making: evaluate readiness, weigh tradeoffs, and drive timely go/no-go recommendations with appropriate approvals and documented rationale
  • Operational execution discipline under time pressure: coordinate cutovers, monitor progress, and maintain accurate run-of-show and checkpoints during deployment windows
  • Ability to triage issues quickly: gather facts, assess impact/severity, coordinate SMEs, and escalate effectively to restore momentum and protect stability
  • Ability to enforce process governance without slowing delivery: ensure release/change artifacts are complete (plans, evidence, approvals, backout), while coaching teams on “how” and “why"
  • Data-driven mindset: build and maintain release metrics/dashboards, identify trends (defects, incidents, CFR, cycle time), and drive corrective actions through closure
  • Strong dependency management: surface cross-team impacts early, negotiate sequencing, and maintain a single, trusted view of release readiness
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional groups: lead meetings to outcomes, manage conflict constructively, and secure commitments from engineering, QA, UAT, and operations partners

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end orchestration of planned production releases (planning → readiness → deployment → verification), including creation of a yearly release calendar/cadence, stakeholder communications, and deployment tracking
  • Facilitate core release ceremonies (planning/readiness/stand-ups) and publish the artifacts (agenda, decisions, action items, risk/issue log, and go/no-go outcomes) with clear owners and due dates
  • Coordinate cross-team Enterprise Release readiness (App Dev/QA/UAT) by validating entry/exit criteria, tracking dependencies, and escalating blockers to protect the release date while maintaining adherence to release management standards
  • Drive change record quality and completion: review change tickets as needed, ensure evidence/approvals/implementation & backout plans are complete, in CAB through closure (including post-implementation validation)
  • Partner with Project Managers for major go-lives by creating implementation plans, by defining integrated milestones, and readiness checkpoints across Release/QA/UAT/Change, ensuring deliverables are produced on time and that process exceptions (if any) are documented and approved
  • Maintain and improve release reporting (dashboards): define metrics (throughput, success rate, defects/incidents, change failure rate, cycle time), automate collection where feasible, and communicate trends and actions to leaders
  • Own communications and coordination for non-standard releases (patch/hotfix): define timeline, stakeholders, required approvals, deployment plan, validation steps, and post-release summary
  • Maintain the Known Defects (Risk Acceptance/Fail Forward) log for each release: document bugs approved to go to production, capture business/technical risk, required signoffs, workaround/monitoring plan, and target remediation date; report status through go-live and closure
  • During deployment windows, provide structured “release command” coordination: real-time status updates, issue triage/escalation, cutover checkpoints, and final completion confirmation to impacted companies and stakeholders
