About The Position

Customers Bank is seeking a highly motivated Relationship Manager at a Vice President or Senior Vice President level to join their Venture Banking team on the East Coast. This role will focus exclusively on the Southeast technology market. The primary responsibilities include originating debt and banking relationships with venture-backed companies, as well as deepening and retaining key client relationships within the existing portfolio. The Relationship Manager will act as a trusted financial partner to founders, executive teams, and venture capital investors, offering market insight, a strong professional network, and a consultative approach to foster lasting client relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong network across the Southeast venture ecosystem.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with founders, CFOs, and venture capital firms.
  • Commercial, business-development mindset.
  • Comfortable underwriting and advising high-growth, often pre-profitable businesses.
  • Sound judgment around venture lending and credit solutions.
  • Consultative, relationship-first approach.
  • For VP level: 5-7 years of relevant venture banking or related experience.
  • For SVP level: 8-10 years of relevant venture banking or related experience.
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to learn/work with other Customers Bank’s applications.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools that support productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
