We are seeking a highly motivated Relationship Manager at a Vice President or Senior Vice President level to join our Venture Banking team on the West Coast, focused exclusively on the technology market. In this role, you will originate debt and banking relationships with venture-backed companies while also helping deepen and retain key client relationships across the existing portfolio.
As a Relationship Manager, you will serve as a trusted financial partner to founders, executive teams, and venture capital investors—bringing market insight, a strong professional network, and a consultative approach to building lasting client relationships.

Requirements

• Strong network across the West Coast venture ecosystem.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with founders, CFOs, and venture capital firms.
• Commercial, business-development mindset.
• Ability to independently source, structure, and close banking and debt opportunities with VC-backed technology companies.
• Comfortable underwriting and advising high-growth, often pre-profitable businesses.
• Sound judgment around venture lending and credit solutions.
• Consultative, relationship-first approach.
• Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to learn/work with other Customers Bank’s applications.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools that support productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
