About The Position

Schwab Advisor Services is seeking an innovative, results-driven individual to serve as Relationship Manager in the Greater San Francisco Bay region. This role focuses on strengthening relationships with independent fee-based investment advisors (RIAs) by expanding the depth and breadth of services offered, supported by leading technology platforms and dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will handle complex client relationships with top-tier advisors, actively pursuing opportunities to improve their efficiency and profitability, focusing on growth and retention. The Relationship Manager will coordinate with Service to proactively anticipate client needs, resolve situations, and work closely with other business partners to support the education and adoption of Wealth Management Services. Responsibilities include influencing positive change in client organizations, presenting policy changes, negotiating pricing, conducting business reviews, and organizing client events. As the main point of contact, the role involves developing and maintaining meaningful relationships and positively representing Schwab’s brand and values. The opportunity offers fully remote work with 50% or greater travel within the territory. The candidate must reside within the Greater San Francisco Bay area. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities.

Requirements

  • Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of financial services experience demonstrating results-driven relationship management.

  • Track record of driving growth, retention, and adoption of outcomes through consultative selling and long-term relationship building.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships across teams, manage escalations, and drive timely resolution while maintaining a consistent client experience.
