Reading Partners is changing the education landscape by addressing the literacy crisis through community volunteers. The Program Manager (PM) is a leadership role focused on eradicating the early literacy crisis. The PM will lead, develop, and mobilize a team of AmeriCorps Volunteers and volunteer tutors to deliver high-quality, effective one-on-one and small group instruction to students, maximizing literacy outcomes. Reporting to the Executive Director in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Program Manager oversees all aspects of program quality, delivery, and implementation across five schools. This includes directing daily operations of reading centers, managing internal and external relationships, leading and supporting AmeriCorps Volunteers, coaching volunteer tutors, driving strategies for literacy development, and utilizing data for decision-making. The ideal candidate is an inspiring team leader, adept at managing people and projects, goal-oriented, and comfortable with both strategic and hands-on work. The PM will collaborate with peers to manage school partnerships in the Oakland and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts, ensuring successful outcomes for over 1,000 students.
