About The Position

The Relationship Banker engages clients in the financial center lobby, educating and assisting them with transactions through self-service resources such as mobile banking, online banking, and ATMs. The role also accurately and efficiently processes cash transactions as needed. Bankers have in-depth conversations with clients to understand their financial and life priorities and connect them with solutions that support their financial goals. This position supports Bank of America’s risk culture and operational excellence while delivering a strong client experience. Bankers build relationships, manage financial center traffic and appointments, make outbound calls, handle cash responsibilities, and collaborate with specialists in small business, lending, and investments. The role is based at financial centers in Brooklyn and Ridgewood, New York, and requires the ability to work weekends and/or extended hours and travel to any financial center location within a reasonable distance.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, secondary school, or equivalent.
Enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and focus on results, acting in the client's best interest.

Demonstrate passion, commitment, and drive to improve clients' financial lives.
Confidently identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs.

Confidence educating clients on simple banking transactions using self-service technologies such as ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to meet client needs.
Follow established processes and guidelines and applicable laws and regulations.
Manage time and capacity efficiently.
Focus on results while acting in the client's best interest.
Able to work weekends and/or extended hours and travel to any financial center location within a reasonable distance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in financial services and knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and solutions.
One year of demonstrated successful sales experience in a salary-plus-incentive environment with individual sales goals.
Six months of cash-handling experience.
Bachelor's degree or business-relevant associate degree, such as business management, business administration, or finance.
