About The Position

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology. You acquire, manage, and retain client relationships, applying financial knowledge to recommend thoughtful solutions that address clients’ financial needs and contribute to the branch’s success.

The position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators, including review of relevant background and financial information. It also requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act and ongoing compliance with registration, renewal, and update requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences.
• Excellent in-person and phone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• SIE exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Must meet Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements; continued employment is contingent on compliance.
• Must register with or update registration in the NMLS under the SAFE Act immediately after starting employment and comply with annual renewal and required updates.

• Put clients first by delivering attentive, friendly service and creating a welcoming environment.
• Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and by phone to build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor recommendations.
• Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs.
• Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Quickly and accurately learn products, services, and procedures to consult on banking solutions and connect clients with experts for specialized financial needs.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
