About The Position

At Orange County’s Federal Credit Union (OCFCU), the Relationship Banker (also described as a Relationship/Personal Banker and Member Service Representative) serves as a trusted financial partner to members. The role combines service, sales, and problem-solving to help members navigate their financial journeys and build lasting relationships. The position handles teller transactions, opens accounts, assists with consumer loan applications, recommends suitable products and services, and resolves member questions and concerns through a consultative approach. Mandarin, Spanish, or Vietnamese fluency is helpful; Mandarin fluency is specifically preferred. The role requires availability Monday through Saturday, during weekday hours of 8:00 AM–6:30 PM and Saturday hours of 8:00 AM–2:30 PM. Hourly compensation varies by experience, internal equity, and level: Member Service Rep IV pays $23.00–$25.00 per hour, while Senior Rep I–II pays $25.50–$27.00 per hour. Pre-employment background and credit checks are required.

Requirements

At least 2 years of recent experience in a bank or credit union.
Hands-on experience with teller transactions, opening new accounts, and consumer lending.
At least 2 years of cross-selling and referring financial products.
Clear, friendly communication skills and a professional yet approachable manner.
Comfort learning and using multiple systems and platforms.
Availability Monday through Saturday, with weekday availability between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM and Saturday availability between 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM.
Successful completion of required pre-employment background and credit checks.

Nice To Haves

Mandarin fluency is preferred.
Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or Vietnamese is helpful.
