About The Position

Responsible for providing an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships. Provides financial solutions based on consultative conversations and refers clients to other business partners for additional opportunities. The role is cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed. The posting describes both Relationship Banker and Senior Relationship Banker positions, with different salary ranges.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Two years of client sales and service experience.
Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transferred registration and applicable NMLS background checks, and meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
Ability to multitask under time constraints.
Ability to travel as required to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included.

Responsibilities

Handle routine client maintenance requests and resolve problems, while using advanced sales skills across deposit, credit, convenience, and other products and services.
Help meet or exceed individual and branch client service and sales targets by offering products and services and developing, expanding, and retaining client relationships.
Conduct consultative conversations and address or refer complex client needs and financial goals to internal specialists.
Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Develop sales techniques and product knowledge by attending meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
Advise clients on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, and stay informed about policy and procedure changes.
Provide consistent, courteous service during transactions, uncover client needs, handle teller transactions as needed, and help clients navigate the branch.
