About The Position

The Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role builds personal connections during transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet customer needs, and assists with end-to-end customer service inquiries. It is intended for candidates with teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who want to begin a career with opportunities for growth, development, and upward mobility. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates well, and provides personalized service while educating customers about ways to bank when, where, and how they want. The position is based at the Lake Nona branch in Orlando, Florida. It is full-time, incentive eligible, and eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The target job-range minimum is $39,601.10 and the median is $46,880.00; incentive earnings are based on performance against defined metrics and goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop customer relationships and remain informed about customers’ relationships with the bank.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations; complete duties assigned by the Branch Manager and help ensure sound banking practices, including identifying and reporting operational risks.
Contribute to branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and help meet their financial needs.
