About The Position

The Relationship Banker I is a customer-facing role at a full-service Cape Cod 5 Retail Banking Center in Centerville. The role provides customer care by assisting with banking transactions, responding to inquiries, and helping resolve problems. The banker builds customer rapport, protects confidential information, develops knowledge of the Bank’s products and services, complies with applicable requirements, and participates in learning, coaching, and community activities.

Requirements

• At least six months of customer service experience.
• Prior customer relationship-building experience.
• Cybersecurity awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical-thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Eligibility for Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
• Eligibility for a Notary Public commission.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least six months of cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers, greet them by name, understand account ownership and authority, respond promptly to correspondence and problems, and demonstrate a caring attitude in keeping with the GUEST philosophy.
• Provide customer care for daily transactions, inquiries, and problem resolution in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
• Perform basic banking transactions, including deposits, loan payments, cash and endorsement verification, check cashing, money orders, treasurer’s checks, and savings bond redemption.
• Protect customer trust by maintaining confidentiality.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s products and services and request assistance for further development when needed.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete assigned learning activities on time.
• Participate in Banking Center meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Participate in and volunteer with community groups and events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
