About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections during transactions, identifies ways to meet customer needs, and assists with resolving customer service inquiries. It is suited to candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who want to begin a career with opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, and communicates effectively while providing personalized service. The role educates customers about banking options, including digital services, and supports the branch in meeting customer needs and goals. It is a full-time, incentive-eligible position located at the Hill Street branch in Thomson, Georgia. The position is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustaining attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line and process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer questions about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their relationship with the bank.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks that help resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial needs or goals are identified.
Follow bank processes, procedures, laws, and regulations; complete duties assigned by the Branch Manager; and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
Help achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with their financial needs.
