About The Position

The Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while contributing to customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries from start to finish. It is suited to candidates with teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in career growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, has strong communication and personalized customer service skills, and is interested in educating customers about ways to bank. The position is incentive eligible and eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The listed Metropolitan Statistical Area market range provides a minimum target of $37,621.05 and a median target of $44,536.00 USD; actual pay varies based on factors including experience, skills, location, and performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and maintaining sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.

Responsibilities

Provide a consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line while processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer questions about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including new or replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their relationship with the bank.
Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and fellow team members with basic tasks that help resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations, including duties assigned by the Branch Manager; help ensure sound banking practices by managing, identifying, and reporting operational risks.
Help achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers about emerging technology and assist with their financial needs.
