About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while contributing to customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections with customers during transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet their needs, and assists with resolving customer service inquiries. It is suited to candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who want to begin a career with opportunities for growth, development, and advancement. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates effectively, and helps customers understand how to bank through their preferred channels. This position is based at the Meridianville branch in Meridianville, Alabama. It is full-time, incentive-eligible, and eligible for overtime for hours worked over 40 per week. The target compensation range lists a minimum of $39,601.10 and a median of $46,880.00; actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location, and performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.

Responsibilities

Provide a consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer questions about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their relationship with the bank.
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes, procedures, laws, and regulations, including duties assigned by the Branch Manager; help ensure sound banking practices and identify, manage, and report operational risks.
Support branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls from generated customer and prospect lead lists to explain emerging technology and help meet financial needs.
