This co-op placement offers an excellent opportunity to practically apply classroom and technical training in the reinsurance industry. The student will be coached by experienced industry professionals, exposed to Munich Re leadership, challenged as a valuable team member doing meaningful work, and mentored to develop a solid foundation for a future leadership role. Munich Re operates under a hybrid working model, requiring an average of 2-3 days in the office per week, with the remaining days worked from home. Students are expected to relocate to the city of their work for the duration of the co-op to fully benefit from program integration, networking, soft skill development, and immersion in Munich Re culture. The Co-op Student will support the North American Reinsurance Accounting Operations team with basic accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and process documentation activities. This role is a learning opportunity for students pursuing studies in accounting, finance, business, commerce, or a related field, working under the guidance of experienced team members on tasks with limited scope and appropriate supervision. The role provides exposure to reinsurance accounting processes, quarterly close support, client data review, reporting support, and process improvement activities, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and timely completion.
