About The Position

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and UW Health, is seeking a Therapy Manager to lead rehabilitation services. This role involves overseeing patient assessment, treatment planning, scheduling, and productivity standards to ensure high-quality, evidence-based therapy delivery. The Therapy Manager will collaborate with physicians and families, and maintain departmental compliance with inspections and policies, all while prioritizing employee well-being to enable exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• Current state licensure/certification as RPT and/or Speech Pathologist, or OTR certified by NBCOT; current BCLS certification.
• At least one (1) year of management experience in rehabilitative medicine.
• Proficient clinical assessment and treatment planning
• Knowledge of rehab modalities
• Pain assessment/management coordination
• Effective teaching and family engagement
• Scheduling and productivity management
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Performs appropriate assessments on residents referred for therapy; observes/evaluates treatments and recommends changes to the physician as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation modalities and develops teaching plans based on resident learning needs; involves families as appropriate and evaluates learning effectiveness.
• Assesses pain that interferes with participation in rehabilitation and contacts the physician for appropriate intervention.
• Oversees scheduling of treatments and maintains departmental productivity standards.
• Ensures compliance with departmental inspections and documentation requirements.
