Rehabilitation Technician Inpatient Rehab
About The Position
Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Services Technician to join its Inpatient Rehab team. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule, rotating weekends, and a requirement to work one major and one minor holiday. The technician maintains patient care areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with facility policy and assists with patient care under the guidance of a licensed rehabilitation professional. The role also includes communication with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts, as well as administrative and other support for the operating unit.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon start.

Responsibilities
- Maintain patient care areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with facility policy.
- Assist with patient care under the guidance and direction of a licensed rehabilitation professional, demonstrating essential skill competencies in the use of patient care modalities.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
- Complete administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
