MRC Stevenson Oaks is seeking a Rehabilitation Coordinator to support the daily operations of the therapy department and ensure residents receive timely, well-coordinated care. This role serves as a key connection between residents, families, therapists, community leadership, and the rehabilitation partner, managing schedules, records, and communication to create an exceptional therapy experience.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Proficient with computers, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent service
  • Experienced in healthcare, rehabilitation, medical scheduling, insurance authorization, or a related administrative role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous administrative, scheduling, or healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience in a rehabilitation, skilled nursing, senior living, or medical office environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate therapy schedules to support resident needs and efficient department operations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, families, therapists, and community team members
  • Assist with therapy referrals, admissions, discharges, and communication throughout the resident’s course of care
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Monitor required paperwork and follow up with team members to help ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, and other administrative requirements as needed
  • Track departmental information and prepare reports for the Director of Rehabilitation
  • Help coordinate meetings, care conferences, and communication with the interdisciplinary team
  • Support therapists with administrative needs so they can remain focused on resident care
  • Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service while helping residents and families navigate the therapy process
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the rehabilitation department
