About The Position

The Casework Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Independent Living program by providing administrative and casework assistance to two Independent Living Counselors. This position ensures efficient service delivery. to consumers across six counties in the western region.

Requirements

  • Administrative Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in performing routine office tasks including data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and accurate filing, with a strong emphasis on precision and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with consumers, colleagues, and the public. Skilled in handling inquiries, resolving conflicts, and maintaining professionalism in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Organizational Agility: Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously with flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working effectively in team-based settings, contributing to shared goals and fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Travel Readiness: Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the designated service area as required.
  • Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with consumers and collect diagnostic documentation to support eligibility determinations and the development of individualized employment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation throughout the rehabilitation process using the designated case management system.
  • Prepare and process essential paperwork, including billing, payment forms, and correspondence.
  • Provide general administrative support as directed by the counselors, ensuring all related tasks are completed effectively and in compliance with program standards.
