About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide supports clinical operations in the Outpatient Rehab department at Rivers Edge in Manchester, New Hampshire. The role assists rehabilitation staff with patient care under a therapist’s direct supervision, maintains rehabilitation equipment and supplies, helps keep clinic operations running efficiently, and performs clerical and front-desk duties. Elliot Rehabilitation Services has eight outpatient clinics in the greater Manchester area and provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy across a range of specialties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of employment and must be maintained while in the position.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, prior LNA experience, or other healthcare-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff with patient care, including supporting treatment sessions and patient handling under a therapist’s direct supervision.
• Procure equipment and instruct patients in or set up equipment as directed.
• Manage inventory, order equipment and office supplies as needed, stock supplies, monitor expiration dates, and monitor insurance authorization on referrals.
• Clean and maintain rehabilitation equipment in accordance with manufacturer, hospital, and department policies and procedures.
• Perform front-desk operations as needed, including answering phones, checking in and scheduling patients, collecting co-pays, registering patients, and checking insurance benefits.
• Send and receive rehabilitation documentation to and from providers, Health Information Management (HIM), and insurance companies.
