About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide supports clinical staff in the outpatient rehabilitation department at Rivers Edge in Manchester, New Hampshire. The role assists physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff with patient care, equipment, clinic operations, and clerical tasks. Patient handling and assistance during treatment sessions take place under the therapist’s direct supervision. The position also supports inventory and supply management, equipment cleaning and maintenance, front desk operations, and the handling of rehabilitation documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment and maintenance of certification while in the position.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Prior LNA experience.
• Healthcare-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical, occupational, and speech therapy staff with patient care, including treatment sessions and patient handling under a therapist’s direct supervision.
• Procure equipment and provide equipment instruction or setup as needed.
• Manage inventory, order equipment and office supplies as needed, stock supplies, monitor material expiration dates, and monitor insurance authorizations on referrals.
• Clean and maintain rehabilitation equipment according to manufacturer, hospital, and department policies and procedures.
• Perform front desk duties as needed, including answering phones, checking in and scheduling patients, taking co-pays, registering patients, and checking insurance benefits.
• Send and receive rehabilitation documentation to and from providers, Health Information Management (HIM), and insurance companies.
