About The Position

Provide support to the clinical team in order to optimize the quality and efficiency of patient care. The Rehabilitation Aide works in the Speech Therapy department at Greenville Memorial Hospital and supports therapists with patient care, treatment-area preparation, patient transfers and positioning, teamwork and communication, clerical duties, and assigned meetings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required.
• BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with office equipment, including fax machines, scanners, and copiers.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with patient care by transporting patients, helping with personal care needs, monitoring patients’ conditions, and reporting status to the appropriate individual.
• Prepare the rehabilitation environment for patient care by cleaning and organizing treatment areas and stocking necessary supplies.
• Assist therapists with patient transfers, bed positioning, and exercise prescription, using safe body mechanics and proper techniques as instructed.
• Collaborate with team members, offer assistance, and communicate effectively about patient needs or status.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Attend department, team, and organization meetings as assigned.
