About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Rehabilitation / Therapy Assistant to join a growing multidisciplinary practice in Myrtle Beach, SC. This opportunity is suited to someone with an understanding of human anatomy, exercise, movement, and basic therapeutic techniques who is interested in learning the practice’s rehabilitation protocols. Candidates may come from physical therapy assisting, exercise science, kinesiology, personal training, rehabilitation, chiropractic, or related backgrounds. The role involves working directly with patients and collaborating with Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. The position is available full-time or part-time and pays $30 per hour.
Requirements
- Familiarity with human anatomy, exercise, movement, and basic therapy principles.
- A background in exercise science, kinesiology, personal training, physical therapy assisting, rehabilitation, fitness, or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to learn the practice’s rehabilitation methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working directly with patients.
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient orthopedic, rehabilitation, fitness, or chiropractic experience is a plus.
- Physical therapy assistants, personal trainers, exercise science or kinesiology graduates, rehabilitation aides, and people with similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, balance, and functional activities.
- Guide patients through rehabilitation programs and exercises.
- Assist with therapeutic modalities and treatments as trained.
- Monitor patients during exercises and communicate progress to providers.
- Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation.
- Work alongside Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
- Receive training in the practice’s rehabilitation techniques and protocols.
