About The Position
A multidisciplinary practice in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life. The PTA will work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Nurse Practitioners, and other rehabilitation professionals in an outpatient setting. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
- Active South Carolina PTA license.
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient orthopedic or chiropractic experience is a plus; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching, balance, gait training, and functional activities.
- Administer modalities, including e-stim, ultrasound, traction, heat, and cold therapy.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
- Document patient progress accurately in the EMR.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
