About The Position

This is a full-time, 100% FTE, day shift, onsite position at UW Health, the #1 hospital in Wisconsin. The weekly schedule is Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with potential variations based on operational needs. The role involves preparing patients, treatment areas, and equipment, assisting with patient therapeutic exercises, activities, and ambulation, completing administrative tasks, and establishing interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The position also includes participation in the education and growth of the team.

Requirements

• CPR certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• No minimum education required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Prior healthcare experience Preferred
• 1 year healthcare experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment in a manner that assures the patient’s dignity, personal care, and security.
• Carry out patient related activities, as directed by the patient’s clinician, such as, assist with a patient’s therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, and/or ambulation activities.
• Complete administrative tasks as delegated by manager, supervisor, or clinician.
• Establish appropriate interpersonal relationships and communications with patients, families, other team members, students and interns, and other health care professionals.
• Participate in the education and growth of the team.
