About The Position

The Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS) evaluates, recommends, and provides customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet clients’ individual needs. The role works with clients, families, therapists, and physicians to ensure equipment supports independence and quality of life. Success requires understanding clinical conditions and rehabilitation equipment. The position offers a salary range of $45,000–$70,000 plus commission; compensation depends on factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The RTS conducts assessments using therapist findings and physician orders, recommends and fits equipment, and collaborates with customers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary professionals. The role also develops customer and referral relationships, meets productivity goals, maintains vendor-system eligibility, and stays current on funding requirements and technology. Employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, protect confidential information, and follow company policies and federal regulations. The position may require overtime as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or certification in a related field such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, or biomedical engineering.
At least two years of experience in assistive technology direct customer-related services or a related field may be considered.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to meet essential job functions with reasonable accommodations as necessary.
Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers with computer equipment; prolonged periods working at a desk and/or on a computer; occasional reaching and moving with arms and hands.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience working with complex rehabilitation technology.
Previous experience selling durable medical equipment (DME).
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects independently and effectively.
Ability to apply clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills to analyze complex mobility needs for individuals with disabilities.
Critical-thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to develop individualized recommendations for CRT equipment and interventions.
Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehabilitation and assistive technology equipment, such as Medicare and Medicaid.
Extensive knowledge of clinical conditions affecting mobility, including spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke.
Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power and manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs, functional limitations, mobility goals, physical abilities, environmental needs, and lifestyle considerations, taking therapist assessment findings and physician orders into account.
Deliver and fit equipment, ensuring that functional goals established during evaluation are met.
Collaborate with customers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary professionals to recommend assistive and complex rehabilitation technology equipment.
Meet or exceed established productivity goals year over year.
Develop relationships with potential customers and referral sources, and maintain existing relationships to optimize business opportunities.
Maintain eligibility status with vendor systems to assure continuous access to facilities.
Keep current with funding requirements and technological advances in the rehabilitation technology industry.
