Rehab Technician I (1.0 FTE Alternating)
About The Position
The Rehabilitation Technician I supports licensed clinical staff in assisting patients with rehabilitation services. The position prepares the treatment environment for care and works collaboratively in a team environment. The technician provides hands-on assistance at the direction of the Supervising Therapist, transports patients to and from the therapy area as required, maintains a clean environment, and helps keep department equipment and supplies in appropriate condition and inventory. Clerical duties may also be assigned. The schedule is Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- One year of patient care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance at the direction of the Supervising Therapist.
- Transport patients to and from the therapy area as required.
- Maintain a clean environment prepared for patient care.
- Clean and disinfect department equipment, keep it orderly, and report defective equipment, as applicable.
- Monitor inventory needs for department equipment and supplies and place orders as required to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Perform clerical duties as assigned.
