About The Position

Assists Rehabilitation Director or Manager with coordination of physical, occupational and/or speech therapy operations, including performing treatments within the professional’s respective practice act, as prescribed by a referring physician.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech and language pathology
• Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, or Speech Language Pathologist, as required by State law.
• AHA BLS.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in physical therapy, or master’s degree in a related field
• 1 year in healthcare management

Responsibilities

• Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI activities.
• Assures competency of personnel within scope of professional’s respective practice act.
• Assists in formulating budget, evaluates performance versus budget and takes appropriate action to remain within budgetary guidelines.
• Develops and implements systems of reviewing occupational therapy and speech therapy charges and ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
• Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
