The SPS Regulatory Intern supports the Regulatory Administration function by assisting with document control, records management, and organization of regulatory filings across Texas and New Mexico jurisdictions. This position provides hands-on exposure to utility regulatory processes, with a primary focus on maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of regulatory documents throughout their lifecycle. The intern will play a key support role in the preparation, organization, and tracking of materials associated with formal Commission proceedings, including Requests for Information (RFIs), testimony, compliance filings, and annual reports. Responsibilities include organizing documents within established systems of record, applying naming conventions, tracking versions, and ensuring that final materials are stored in compliance with SPS records management policies and regulatory expectations. This role emphasizes precision, organization, and accountability, contributing directly to SPS’s ability to produce filing-ready work products and maintain defensible records for regulatory review and discovery. Consistent with SPS practices, the intern will support application of retention schedules, proper handling of draft versus final materials, and alignment with internal governance standards.
