About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Foundations of Calculus I (MAT1321, Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course covers instantaneous rate of change, limits, continuity, derivatives of various functions, analysis of functions, applications to maxima and minima, concavity, graph sketching, L'Hospital's rule, implicit differentiation, related rates, optimization, linear approximation, Newton’s method, the definite integral, the fundamental theorem of calculus, antiderivatives, and numerical integration techniques. The expected enrollment is 150 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The language of instruction is English.

Requirements

  • PhD in mathematics.
  • Expert level knowledge of LaTeX.
  • Must coordinate (across all sections).
