About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course DTO6106, User Research and User Experience Principles and Practice (online), during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course is part of the Faculty of Engineering, specifically the School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation. The language of instruction is English. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Digital Transformation and Innovation (DTI) or related discipline with a thesis in User Experience (UX).
  • At least three years of industry experience demonstrating mastery of current practice and theory in all aspects of user research, UX design, and UX evaluation.
  • Expert knowledge of behavior theories and common user research methods (including tools and techniques for research, evaluation and testing).
  • Expert knowledge of human computer interaction theories.
  • Expert knowledge of UX frameworks and UX design, evaluation, and management practices.
  • Significant experience managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary UX projects involving individuals with diverse backgrounds (technology, psychology, creative arts, management).

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Psychology, Digital Transformation and Innovation, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course DTO6106: User Research and User Experience Principles and Practice (online).
  • Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary UX projects involving individuals with diverse backgrounds.
  • Potentially complete mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
