About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course ETHICS FOR DESIGN, AI & ROB(Online) (DTO5310) during the 2027 Winter Semester. This online course is designed for graduate-level students and focuses on the ethical considerations within the fields of design, artificial intelligence, and robotics. The position is posted as a new position and is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31, and the stated rates are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement, with retroactive pay provided after ratification. Requirements

PhD graduate.
Completion of DTI 5310 or IAI 5310 or equivalent.
Active researcher in the field of ethical artificial intelligence.
Proficiency in applied ethics and contemporary philosophy, particularly in technology ethics and its implications for AI applications.
Experience in teaching or assisting with graduate-level courses.
Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
