About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach "The Religions of the World II" (SRS2113 Section: A00) during the Fall 2026 academic period. The course is an introductory survey of major religious traditions of humankind, including those of the ancient Mediterranean world, and important Semitic and Far Eastern religions not covered in part I. It also addresses methodological questions related to studying religions other than one's own. The expected enrollment is 120 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The language of instruction is English.
Requirements
- M.A. in Religious Studies or equivalent.
- Expertise in the course topic is required.
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as equivalent to the educational requirements and/or demonstrated experience.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (priority given).
Responsibilities
- Teach "The Religions of the World II" (SRS2113 Section: A00).
- Conduct classes according to the specified schedule: Monday 10:00-11:30 and Wednesday 8:30-10:00.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
