About The Position

The Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CMN2160-A00, Theories of the Media, during the Fall 2026 semester. This course explores theories about the relationships between media, power elites, and mass culture, examining major American and European schools of thought from technological perspectives (e.g., McLuhan) to symbolic and socio-political dimensions (e.g., feminist and cultural studies). The course is scheduled for Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00 and will be delivered in person. Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication (preferably).
  • Professional experience or expertise directly related to the course content.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of theories of the media.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
