About The Position

The Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CMN3165-A00: Media Industries. This course studies the relationship between media technologies and the Canadian regulatory system, covering topics such as cable, satellite, conglomerates, competition, protectionism, specialized networks, and ratings. The course is scheduled for Wednesdays from 19:00 to 22:00 and will be offered in person. Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication
  • Professional experience in Communication or related discipline
  • Competence in second language (Passive)

  • Specialization or teaching experience in the subject matter is recommended
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
