About The Position

A hands-on, team-based introduction to product development and management principles for engineers and computer scientists and their impact on social and economic aspects of engineering practice. Topics include creativity and innovation product development process, engineering project management, market evaluation and identification, engineering economics, technology entrepreneurship.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Engineering design, demonstrated by having taught similar courses or by relevant work experience specifically in design.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
  • Ability to teach in English.
  • Competence in a second language (French implied by context).

Responsibilities

  • Teach Introduction to Product Development and Management for Engineers and Computer Scientists (GNG2101 Section F) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
  • Manage course content, including creativity and innovation, product development process, engineering project management, market evaluation and identification, engineering economics, and technology entrepreneurship.
  • Engage students in a hands-on, team-based learning environment.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
