About The Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach "The Celtic Woman: Between Myth and Reality" (CLT2155, Section A) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course, worth 3 units, will be offered in person and involves the study of women in early Celtic religion and myth, tribal politics in Britain and Gaul during the Classical period, and their special place in medieval law and society in early Ireland and Wales. It also covers women's writings within a male-oriented bardic tradition. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment. Requirements

  • M.A. in Celtic Studies or equivalent.
  • Experience in the teaching of The Celtic Woman: Between Myth and Reality.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
