About The Position
The Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Advanced German II (ALG3902, Section A) during the Winter 2027 semester. This course focuses on consolidating advanced German skills, including listening comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and cross-cultural awareness. It is the final course in a sequence designed to prepare students for the Goethe Institute's Certificate of German, aiming for students to reach level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course will be delivered in person.
Requirements
- Master's degree in German or equivalent.
- Recent experience in the teaching of Advanced German with computer-assisted Language Learning (CALL) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with the most recent teaching methodologies in teaching German.
- Bilingual (French and English).
