About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach Introduction to Comparative Politics (POL2504, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies. The course description is: "Introduction to the comparative study of internal political phenomena within states, in different historical, cultural and institutional contexts. Methods, theoretical approaches, typologies and concepts used in the comparative analysis of political phenomena." The course will be offered in person, but the teaching mode may change due to health or other reasons. Requirements

Doctorate or doctoral coursework in the field of the announced course.
Teaching experience in the field.
Competence in a second language (French is the language of instruction, implying English competence is required).
Must be a regular part-time professor.
Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Responsibilities
