About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Social Work at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach GRT 2100: Psychosocial Aspects of Aging during the Winter 2027 semester. This course explores theories and models of aging and retirement, the social construction of aging, the impact of gender, ethnicity, and race, and issues related to death and dying, with implications for individuals, families, and caregivers. The course will be offered remotely.

Requirements

  • PhD completed or in progress in social sciences with a specialization in gerontology or MA with five years’ experience in the field of gerontology.
  • Teaching experience in gerontology is an asset.
  • Competence in a second language (passive).

Responsibilities
