About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1502 Section B00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course covers heredity, environment, and human development, intelligence, personality, mental health, abnormal behavior and therapeutic approaches, and social psychology. The course is proposed to be delivered in-person. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The hiring process will be governed by the current APTPUO collective agreements.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the different fields of Psychology
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Introduction to Psychology: Applications (PSY1502 Section B00).
  • Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an upcoming absence.
