About The Position
This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Engineering Design (GNG1103 Section C) during the Fall 2026 semester. This is a hands-on, team-based introductory course for engineers and computer scientists, covering topics such as design thinking, the engineering design process, prototyping, engineering economics, safety, ethics, and project management. The course is taught in English and has an expected enrollment of 72 students.
Requirements
- Expertise in hands-on, open-ended engineering design from industry or academia.
- Must be a registered engineer in one of the provinces of Canada.
- PhD will be considered first.
- Civil engineering candidates are required for this term.
Responsibilities
- Teach Engineering Design (GNG1103 Section C)
- Facilitate hands-on, team-based learning
- Cover topics including design thinking, engineering design process, prototyping, engineering economics, safety, ethics, and project management.
