This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach HIS2100-C00: The Historian's Craft during the Winter 2027 semester. The course is an introduction to writing research papers in history, covering topics such as the importance of time and space variables, hypothesis testing versus questioning sources, formulating historical questions, identifying and locating sources (with an emphasis on secondary sources), assessing material for authenticity, validity, and reliability, identifying author perspectives and approaches, an introduction to historiography, and presentation and sourcing of results. The teaching method is in-person.
