About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach ENG1131 H00, Effective Business English, during the Winter 2027 semester. The course focuses on the development of written communication skills, including a review of grammatical usage and basic composition principles, as well as an analysis of effective business prose. The course is taught in English and has an expected enrollment of 110 students.

Requirements

• Ph.D (English)
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
• Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
• All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

• Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach ENG1131 H00, Effective Business English.
• Develop skills in written communication.
• Review grammatical usage and basic principles of composition.
• Analyze samples of effective business prose.
• Conduct a DGD (Discussion Group/Tutorial).
